The Boulder City Police Department has a capable staff of Patrol Officers ready and able to respond to emergencies and protect Boulder City citizens. Besides the regular, full-time Patrol Officers, there are several specialized patrols that also assist citizens in helping to keep Boulder City a safe community.
Patrol officers cover a large territory, which consists of 210 square miles. This includes the US 93 Southbound to Lakeshore Drive (towards Hoover Dam), US 95 Southbound to mile marker 34 (towards Searchlight) and US 93 Northbound (just before Railroad Pass Casino). The patrol area is larger than the City of Las Vegas.
Patrol is broken into four shifts; Days 1, Graves 1, Days 2 and Graves 2. Each shift is commanded by a Patrol Sergeant.
Each patrol officer is assigned a specific area within the Boulder City limits. The community policing map can be found by accessing the link Meet The Officers(link is to the left under "See Also"). It is here you can find the officer assigned to your area. Though an officer is assigned to your sepcific area, please notify BCPD dispatch if you have an immediate concern. The officer on patrol at that time will be more than willing to assist you.
