Member Rod Woodbury was elected to the Boulder City
Council in June 2022. Rod Woodbury, age 43, is a native of Southern Nevada who has lived in Boulder City since he was 11 years old. He and his wife, Leslie, have been married for 21 years and have seven children.
Council Member Woodbury is a small business owner as the President and managing shareholder of his law firm, Woodbury Morris & Brown. Woodbury is Vice President and long-time Board member of Boulder City Museum and Historical Association. He has also been active as a youth sports coach and as a leader for local Boy Scout Troop 213.
Council Member Woodbury comes from a family tradition of public service in Southern Nevada, dating back to the 1950s when his great-uncle Dr. Clare Woodbury served on the Clark County School Board. Rod's father, Bruce Woodbury, was a Clark County Commissioner for 28 years, and his sister Melissa Woodbury currently serves as a State Assemblywoman in the Nevada Legislature.
Council Member Woodbury currently serves as the City Council representative to the Southern Nevada Health District and the Clark County School District Oversight Panel..
